DTL, short for direct to lung inhaling, is where you inhale the vapour directly down into your lungs without holding it in your mouth. Think of it like taking a deep breath. Many people do not vape like this when they start, but it is a more intense and satisfying way to enjoy vaping.
How Do You Mouth to Lung Vape?
If your device is capable of MTL vaping, make sure the airflow is partially restricted. You take a smooth and steady drag into your mouth, much longer than a cigarette, and hold the vapour in your mouth. You then inhale it into the lungs completely before you exhale.
How Do You Direct to Lung Vape?
To do this, make sure the airflow controls on the device are open, as this will allow for a more airy vape. All you need to do is take a long and smooth vape straight into the lungs, much like if you are breathing.
Which Is Better?
To decide which is better, there are a few factors to consider. When you refer to mouth to lung, it will give you a better hit in the throat than direct to lung vaping. This will closely mimic the sensation of smoking cigarettes. In addition, it is a better way to make your e-liquid last longer. When you are vaping in this way, it is a great transition from tobacco cigarettes to vaping full-time. If you are using direct to lung vaping, this will produce greater vapour clouds, but it will deplete your e-liquid supply.
You also should consider your previous experience of smoking and inhaling. For example, if you have smoked previously, mouth to lung inhaling is a better option. However, if you use direct to lung, this can be more intense and makes you cough. In addition, some prefer mouth to lung because they get more flavour from the vape. When you use direct to lung, the flavour is more concentrated.
